MEXICO CITY WOMEN’S EXPERIENCE LED BY RABBI JULIANA KAROL - 6 Days

May 20th, 2026 – May 25th, 2026

Day 1: Wednesday, May 20th, 2026– Arrival & Introduction to Mexico City 

  • Noon:  Arrive in Mexico City. Transfer to the hotel, where we will take some time to relax and settle in Sofitel Mexico City Reforma*****

  • Afternoon: Begin discovering the cultural heart of Mexico City with a guided visit to:

  • Zócalo (Plaza de la Constitución): The grand central plaza, surrounded by the National Palace and Metropolitan Cathedral.

  • Palacio de Belas Artes & Alameda Park: Admire this iconic cultural landmark and stro l through the charming Alameda Central Park.  

  • Evening: ewish Mexico City Experience Visit the Centro de Documentación e Investigación Judío de México (CDIJUM) to explore the rich Jewish heritage of Mexico, including historical archives and exhibitions.

  • Welcome Dinner at Pujol Indulge in an exclusive tasting menu at Pujol, one of the world's most celebrated restaurants. Savor innovative Mexican cuisine, including the famous Mole Madre and curated taco selections.

  • Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 2: Thursday, May 21, 2026 – Teotihuacan | Breakfast at a Cave Restaurant | Mercado Roma | Kabbalat Shabbat at Sinagoga Justo Sierra

  • Morning: Depart early for Teotihuacan, one of Mexico’s most iconic archaeological sites.

  • Breakfast at La Gruta- Enjoy a unique breakfast inside a cave at La Gruta, a renowned restaurant near the pyramids, serving authentic Mexican flavors in a mystical setting.

  • Explore the majestic pyramids of Teotihuacan, including:

  • Pyramid of the Sun & Pyramid of the Moon – Climb for breathtaking panoramic views.

  • VisitAvenue of the Dead & Temple of Quetzalcoatl – Discover the history of this ancient civilization.

  • Afternoon: Stroll through Mercado Roma, an upscale gourmet market, perfect for sampling artisanal Mexican delicacies. (Lunch at own expense)

  • Evening: Shavuot Prayer at Sinagoga Justo Sierra Experience Shavuot Service at Sinagoga Justo Sierra, one of the most critical and historic synagogues in

  • Dinner at Quintonil, a world-renowned restaurant celebrated for its contemporary take on Mexican cuisine, featuring seasonal ingredients and innovative flavors. Overnight in Mexico City Return to Sofitel Mexico City Reforma for a comfortable and relaxing evening.

Day 3: Friday, May 22, 2026 – Tula Archaeological Zone | Cuernavaca Springs| Private Hacienda Dinner 

  • Breakfast at the hotel

  • Morning – Explore Tula Archaeological Zone Visit the Tula Archaeological Zone, a critical Toltec site known for its massive Atlantean warrior statues, standing as guardians of an ancient civilization.

  • Afternoon: Travel to Cuernavaca, the "City of Eternal Spring," Morning – Explore Tula Archaeological Zone Visit the Tula Archaeological Zone, a critical Toltec site known for its massive Atlantean warrior statues, standing as guardians of an ancient civilization. Afternoon – Cuernavaca

  • At the end of the tours, we wil return to the hotel in Mexico City to prepare for Kabbalat Shabbat, where we wi l join the Reform Jewish community of Mexico City. There, we wi l have the opportunity to meet the community and celebrate the arrival of Shabbat together in a festive manner

  • Dinner – Private Hacienda Experience - Enjoy an exclusive dining experience in a restored private hacienda featuring local gourmet cuisine and a beautifu ly curated ambiance. Return to Sofitel Mexico City Reforma for a restful night before the next day’s adventures.

Day 4: Saturday, May 23, 2026 – Puebla – City Tour – Jewish History and Pottery Workshop

  • Breakfast at the hotel

  • Morning: Drive to Puebla (2-hour drive in a luxury private coach). Visit the Rosary Chapel, one of Mexico’s most dazzling baroque churches. Explore the Jewish history of Puebla, including the story of Conversos (crypto-Jews) in colonial Mexico.

  • Lunch: Lunch at El Mural de los Poblanos, a top-rated Puebla restaurant known for authentic mole poblano.

  • Afternoon: Talavera Pottery Workshop: Enjoy a hands-on experience painting Talavera pottery, an artisanal craft unique to Puebla.

  • Evening: return to Mexico City & light dinner at Balcón del Zócalo (Rooftop dining with stunning views of Mexico City).

  • Accommodation: Sofitel Mexico City Reforma*****, Mexico City or similar.

Day 5: Sunday, May 24, 2026 – Art, Culture & Jewish Heritage in Mexico City

  • Breakfast at the hotel 

  • Morning: Visit Casa Azul (Frida Kahlo Museum) to explore the artist’s iconic home in Coyoacán. Private visit to Diego Rivera’s Anahuaca li Museum, showcasing his pre-Hispanic colection.

  • Lunch: Lunch at San Ángel Inn (A historic monastery-turned-restaurant known for its ambiance).

  • Afternoon: Polanco Neighborhood & Jewish Life: Explore Polanco, the upscale neighborhood home to Jewish synagogues, kosher restaurants, and boutiques. Visit Maguen David Synagogue, one of Mexico’s most significant Jewish sites & Enjoy a private meeting with Jewish artists or community leaders.

  • Dinner: Farewe l Dinner at Sud 777 (Elegant modern Mexican cuisine in a chic setting).

Overnight: Sofitel Mexico City Reforma*****, Mexico City or similar.

Day 6: Monday, May 25, 2026 – Mexico City – Last Brunch – Shopping and Departure

  • Breakfast at the hotel

  • Morning: Enjoy a relaxed morning at Sofitel Mexico City Reforma, taking advantage of the luxury spa, rooftop pool, or a casual stro l through the city center.

  • Checck out

  • Lunch – Brunch at Panadería Rosetta Savor a gourmet brunch at: Panadería Rosetta – A cozy bakery offering exquisite pastries, coffee, and Mexican-European f usion baked goods.

  • Afternoon – Last-Minute Shopping Explore Polanco or Roma Norte, two of Mexico City’s most stylish districts, to shop for: Mexican jewelry & textiles. Designer crafts & fashion boutiques.Handmade ceramics & artisanal souvenirs

  • Evening: Private transfer to Mexico City International Airport (CDMX) for your departing flight.
